Brite Winter returns February 21 in Cleveland, moving to the Waterloo Arts District with eight stages

Brite Winter shifts east for its 17th annual winter festival

Brite Winter, Cleveland’s long-running winter music and arts festival, returns Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, with a new home base in the Waterloo Arts District. Organizers scheduled the event from 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with activity centered near the intersection of Waterloo Road and East 156th Street and extending several blocks in each direction.

The 2026 edition marks the festival’s latest relocation as the event continues to rotate through Cleveland neighborhoods. In 2025, the festival took place on the Flats East Bank after multiple years on the Flats West Bank. Earlier editions were staged in other city locations, reflecting a format that has historically adapted to available venues and neighborhood partnerships.

Eight stages, indoor and outdoor venues, and a neighborhood-focused theme

Organizers say the 2026 footprint will include eight stages total: two outdoor stages and six indoor stages spread across participating venues in the district. The festival’s theme this year is “Spotlight,” designed to highlight the Waterloo Arts District’s arts organizations, studios and small businesses through performances and visual art programming.

Programming is planned for a broad audience. The schedule includes family-oriented activities earlier in the day, with kid-focused music and movement programming and hands-on art activities slated from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The festival is structured for attendees to move between indoor and outdoor performances throughout the afternoon and evening.

  • Date and time: Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, 2 p.m.–11:30 p.m.

  • Location: Waterloo Arts District, centered around Waterloo Road and E. 156th Street

  • Format: Two outdoor stages and six indoor stages

Tickets, access, and on-the-ground logistics

The event is ticketed, with entry typically managed through a festival button distributed with ticket redemption or purchase and used for access throughout the day. Organizers also promoted onsite festival merchandise, including an annual beanie and a limited festival poster.

For transportation, organizers pointed to neighborhood street parking and additional free parking options paired with a shuttle service operating between designated lots and the festival area. Ride-share drop-off and pick-up zones were also recommended to reduce congestion near performance sites.

The 2026 festival is designed to combine outdoor winter programming with a larger number of indoor venues, giving attendees options to warm up while continuing to move through the district’s stages and art spaces.

What the move means for this year’s experience

By relocating to the Waterloo Arts District, Brite Winter positions its performances within a corridor already anchored by galleries, workshops and neighborhood cultural institutions. The 2026 design emphasizes walking access between stages and businesses, blending a festival schedule with an arts-district setting that can host simultaneous indoor shows alongside outdoor programming built around winter amenities such as fire pits and warming areas.
