A new entertainment venue in a historic Lakewood neighborhood

Birdietown Mini Golf + Lounge is an indoor mini-golf, bar and restaurant concept operating at 12501 Madison Ave. in Lakewood, in the Birdtown neighborhood west of Cleveland. The business occupies a renovated historic building and is positioned as an adult-oriented mini-golf venue that also accommodates families earlier in the day.

Birdtown is a nationally registered historic district known for streets named after birds—Thrush, Lark, Robin, Quail and Plover—and for its long history as a working-class immigrant neighborhood. Over time, the area’s demographics have evolved, with new immigrant communities settling in the district.

What Birdietown offers: two courses, two bars and on-site dining

The venue spans roughly 12,000 square feet and includes two separate nine-hole indoor courses, for a total of 18 holes. In addition to mini golf, Birdietown operates a restaurant and multiple bar areas, including a lower-level space designed with a speakeasy-style aesthetic. The layout is intended to support mixed-use visits, with guests able to combine tee times and dining as separate reservations.

Hours, age policies and how reservations work

Birdietown’s published operating schedule lists service Tuesday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. Kitchen service is scheduled to end one hour before closing.

Age rules vary by time of day. The venue is 21-and-over after 7 p.m. daily. Earlier hours allow minors under specific conditions: from noon to 7 p.m., guests under 16 must be accompanied on the course by an adult age 21 or older, with at least one adult for every three minors. Children under 8 are not permitted on the course. Dining and golf must be booked separately, and tee times are assigned within 30-minute reservation windows.

Birdietown’s operating model combines scheduled tee times with separate dining reservations, reflecting a hybrid of attraction-style capacity control and traditional restaurant service.

Private events and neighborhood context

Beyond general admission play, Birdietown promotes private-event capabilities, including options for larger group bookings. The project also adds another nightlife and entertainment anchor along Madison Avenue in Birdtown, an area where building reuse and renovation have been visible in recent years.

With indoor mini golf increasingly paired nationwide with food-and-beverage service, Birdietown’s Lakewood location places that model inside one of Greater Cleveland’s best-known historic districts, aiming to draw both local residents and visitors looking for a structured, reservation-based night out.
